When Hurricane Michael hit Florida, Panama City Beach was mostly spared. Its neighbor Mexico Beach, however, was devastated. It was time to help. We turned to the data around tourism and identified a trend among Millennial travelers, 84% of whom said they would travel to participate in volunteer activities.
PCB was in a unique position to offer more than that — a chance to help save Mexico Beach, while staying in paradise. The Stay It Forward program launched and immediately got national attention.
